Conceived for all motorcycle riders who love sporty road riding, Avro 5 is Dainese's motorcycle jacket inspired by the suits of MotoGP™ riders.

Made of fine Tutu cowhide, the garment boasts stretch inserts in S1 fabric and Microelastic 2.0 material, which ensure excellent fit, comfort and freedom of movement while riding.
Comfort is further enhanced by the new fast-racing collar construction, a MotoGP™-inspired system that fully reduces pressure on the neck.

To ensure maximum protection for motorcycle riders even at high speeds, Avro 5 features the same technical solutions as Dainese suits, integrating certified protectors on shoulders and elbows as well as detachable aluminum plates on the shoulders. The jacket is designed to accommodate G1 and G2 back protectors.

The perfect blend of protection and comfort, Avro 5 is extremely versatile owing to its detachable thermal lining, breathable mesh fabric and side air vents, which make it ideal for all-season use.

SAFETY

TUTU LEATHER​

Tutu leather is a cowhide leather developed and engineered to ensure high performance levels in terms of abrasion, tear, cut, and traction resistance. Selected premium quality raw materials guarantee extreme comfort, while ensuring the best performance even when exposed to extreme conditions thanks to its water- and oil-repellent properties.

CO-INJECTED SHOULDER WITH METAL INSERT​

The co-injected shoulder with metal insert is one of the most revolutionary innovations developed for Dainese garments. The result is a completely armored CE-certified protector joined to the rest of the garment with minimum space, ensuring the wearer maximum comfort.
The typical removable composite protection has been substituted by an injection of plastic material over a net externally covered in polyurethane. A pocket to insert the metal plate, fastened by rivets on the inside, is then created inside this structure.

ERGONOMICS

VELOCE RACING NECK​

Soft V-neck construction, conceived for the highest levels of ergonomics and comfort. The shape and design allow to reduce pressure on the sides of the neck and at the throat level, while increasing freedom of movement when tucked on the motorbike in racing position. The use of premium soft materials enhances the level of comfort, avoding leather to stick to the skin and create friction.

S1 FABRIC​

S1 fabric was developed to improve comfort and also to facilitate airflow through the garment. This material is made of elastomer coated with cordura polyamide, which gives it unmatched mechanical strength and elastic properties to guarantee excellent comfort levels. Nanotechnologies are applied to ensure the best water-/oil-repellent properties.

MICRO-ELASTIC​

This Dainese patented technology has raised safety and comfort to new levels: it consists of one large panel in leather with elasticated bellows stretching perpendicularly in two directions, width and length, offering the wearer greater freedom of movement in the kidney area (when hunched over the fuel tank) as well as in the chest area and arms.

ELASTICATED INSERTS​

Elasticated inserts positioned in the most strategic locations that improve the garment’s capacity for adaptation to the body as it changes shape and moves while riding.

JACKET-TROUSERS FASTENING SYSTEM​

Fastening the jacket to the pants with a zipper increases both ergonomics and comfort by eliminating all chances of air infiltration and ensuring that both garments fit the body appropriately in every situation.

The thermal lining ensures high heat insulation, maintaining a steady internal temperature. The high quality construction and prestigious materials used allow for the weight and thickness of Dainese linings to be reduced without altering their thermal capacities and riding comfort.

3D BUBBLE LINER​

Designed and tested to meet the needs of racers like Valentino Rossi, this special three-dimensional fabric enables an air chamber to be created between the inside and the outside of the garment; this chamber forms an insulating liner that maintains an ideal microclimate during both summer and winter.

HOW TO MEASURE YOURSELF

CHEST

Chest circumference

The measurement of the chest in its maximum extension during normal breathing, measured with the person standing, passing the measuring tape horizontally around the torso over the scapula bones (the shoulder blades) and just under the armpits.

ARM

Sleeve length from shoulder (arm straight)

The distance from the most protruding point of the shoulder to the wrist (on the end of the Ulna bone), measured with the arm relaxed at the person's side.

NECK

Neck circumference

The circumference measured at 2 cm below the Adam's apple in the front, and at the 7th cervical vertebra in the back (i.e. NOT horizontally).

WAIST

Waist circumference

The circumference measured horizontally around the waist, just above the highest point of each of the iliac crest bones, during normal breathing, on the person standing, with a relaxed abdomen.
