The V-TWIN cotton air filter is installed in the airbox to replace the original air filter. It is made with high-performance materials that allow for an increase in airflow to the engine compared to the original paper or foam air filter, while ensuring superior filtration efficiency: thanks to the combination of the various oiled layers, the containment of all impurities is guaranteed down to a minimum of 7 microns (certified to international filtration standard ISO5011), while OEM paper filters generally require total filtration of particles down to a minimum of 10 microns.

BMC performance cotton air filters are made using a process called "Full Molding," which allows the characteristic red filter to be obtained from a single molding without requiring gluing at the corners, which can easily cause breakage. The special rubber used in BMC filtration systems is practically non-deformable over time and has excellent adhesion characteristics to any shape of airbox.

BMC air filters consist of a multilayer cotton fabric impregnated with low-viscosity oil, sandwiched between two aluminum mesh structures. The aluminum meshes are treated with epoxy resin to protect them from oxidation caused by fuel vapors and moisture in the air.

All BMC air filters are washable and can be regenerated using the special cleaning kit, saving you the cost of periodic filter replacement.
