On the latest generation motorcycles, one or more lambda probes are installed that have the function of communicating to the original control unit the amount of oxygen present in the exhaust gases.The original control unit is programmed to comply with anti-pollution regulations such that the air/gasoline ratio must be thinner than what would be optimal for the correct operation of the engine.

If you install an additional Power Commander control unit without excluding/disabling the original lambda probe it will not be possible to fully control the carburetion as the original control unit would make continuous corrections.

The Dynojet Lambda Probe Optimizer (O2 optimizer) is a device that is installed in line with the original Lambda Probe (one or more depending on the motorcycle model) but does not replace it.

The O2 optimizer is a complex device equipped with a processor that modulates the signal sent from the lambda probe to the control unit in real time. With the O2 optimizer installed you can achieve the optimal air/gas ratio using the same original lambda probe.

The specific instructions of each motorcycle model that includes the O2 optimizer indicate the area of the map managed by the lambda probe and that does not need further modification.
