On the latest generation motorcycles, one or more lambda probes are installed that have the function of communicating to the original control unit the amount of oxygen present in the exhaust gases.The original control unit is programmed to comply with anti-pollution regulations such that the air/gasoline ratio must be leaner than what would be optimal for the correct operation of the engine.

If you install an additional Power Commander without excluding/disabling the original lambda probe you will not be able to fully control the carburetion as the original control unit would make continuous corrections.

The Dynojet lambda probe optimizer (O2 optimizer) is a device that installs in line with the original lambda probe (one or more depending on the motion model) but does not replace it.

The O2 optimizer is a complex device equipped with a processor that modulates in real time the signal sent from the lambda probe to the control unit. With the O2 optimizer installed you can get the optimal air/gas ratio using the same original lambda probe.

The specific instructions of each motion model that includes the O2 optimizer indicate whichis the area of the map managed by the lambda probe and that does not require further modification.
