THE 1980s Naked bikes. An attitude that made you feel different from everyone else.We present the Concept-X. This helmet, which recalls the simple but aggressive style of that period, comes from the heart of Arai's R & amp; D department.The technicians liked the look, but only that.Now, they want to keep the old gritty look that matches their style and bike perfectly, but they want to add modern Arai performance.
The wild simplicity of the Concept-X is just appearance, don't be fooled, even if the vintage style might distract you, the helmet has had to pass Arai's stringent internal tests. Underneath the aggressive look, therefore, you will find a durable and lightweight PB e-cLc shell, with a smooth and rounded shape, reinforced with Arai's patented peripheral band, to glide over surfaces and bounce over obstacles. The VAS-VC visor system, with its retro mechanical look, further improves the ability to glide by lowering the visor pins to maximize the uniformity of the shape of the upper shell.
Despite the concession to the past, the Concept-X is in many ways a helmet of the present. Ready for a generation of modern riders who want an "old style new", but with the performance and comfort that only Arai can offer.
Outer shell: PB e-cLc (Peripherally Belted e-Complex Laminate Construction)
The Concept-X shell is made using the Peripherally Belted e-Complex Laminate Construction (PB e-cLc) construction technique which offers an excellent compromise between stiffness, strength and weight; it is designed to divert the energy of an impact without creating dangerous grips and to distribute it over as large a surface as possible. New materials have been used to improve the previous AR-mat intermediate layer and the result is a substantial weight reduction, while maintaining the same strength as the PB-cLc.
Variable Axis System (VAS)
With the VAS system, the position of the visor mechanism is lowered, offering an average of 24mm of extra space in the temple area, looking for an ideal shape as smooth and round as possible that increases the ability to divert energy. This results in a larger portion of the shell being smoother and more durable along and above the Snell standard test line.
The smooth outer shell of the Concept-X hides a secret: the Arai internal ventilation system. Fresh air enters the visor vents and is directed through the inner lining to the extraction holes in the upper area. This is done through a multi-level channel hidden inside the EPS liner, thanks to the negative pressure induced by the Venturi effect created by the side vents and the extractor in the neck roll. Up front, the six grille slots close to demist the visor and open to let in airflow.
Free Flow System (FFS) - Free Flow System
Creates a flow of air inside the helmet that reduces noise and turbulence caused by the passage of air, increasing the extraction of hot air.
Integrated ventilation system
It allows the passage of air inside the shell, directing it through the special holes integrated in the EPS, towards the Venturi effect extractor.
Front air intakes
Fresh air can enter directly into the forehead area and temples without the need to drill holes in this critical area of the shell and in the impact liner.
Internal closure of the chin guard air intake
Opens and closes the chin guard vent from the inside to prevent debris from entering the helmet in dusty road conditions.
Neck air exhaust
To improve the escape of hot air from the inside. Increases the effect of ventilation in the lower part of the helmet.
Side air outlets
They create low pressure behind the rear ventilation hole for better hot air extraction. Integrated into the shell for better aerodynamics, they reduce noise and avoid vibrations due to speed. Inside, a small foam rubber barrier helps absorb and reduce excessive noise, without compromising the effectiveness of ventilation.
Fixed chin spoiler
Helps minimize wind noise and promotes the extraction of hot air from the face area. It offers an additional system for diverting airborne debris from the neck area.
VAS Max Vision visor with De-Mist function
The VAS MAX Vision visor is standard to offer better visibility in every season and type of driving.
Visor closing system
Directly inherited from our F1 helmet, the visor opening-closing system works on three axes and in the locked position, seals the visor like never before. Lifting it with a simple gesture (even with gloves) it is possible to activate the de-mist function or open the visor completely.
Effectively prevents fogging and condensation on the visor, even in extremely humid conditions. It can be easily cleaned and replaced.
Interior in antibacterial material
They help maintain a neutral acidity level similar to that of human skin and have deodorant properties. For a more comfortable and smoother fit we have developed an even more delicate lining material. The interiors are also equipped with removable micro-padding on the temples and cheeks to further customize the fit.
Interchangeable internal cheek pads
The cheek pads can be easily removed. All interiors (even non-removable ones) can be washed with warm water and neutral soap. Rinse well after washing and never dry in direct sunlight or near heat sources. All removable interiors can be customized with different sizes / thicknesses to adapt perfectly to the user's head.

Interior: Replaceable interior

Integrated communication systems are very popular, but the problem is often that space for speakers is limited or simply not there, thus causing annoying pressure points on the ears. Featuring special speaker pockets, offering installation space without compromising on comfort or fit. (Speakers not included).
Facial Contour System (FCS)
To offer a further improved fit and increase comfort in the jaw area, the Facial Contour System (FCS) uses a foam support in the cheek pads that maximizes adherence, providing the necessary support without exerting excessive pressure.
5mm '' Peel Away '' earmuffs / cheek pads
To offer a greater possibility of creating the perfect fit and optimum comfort, the cheek pads feature a removable 5mm layer to add space if needed.

Emergency Release System (ERS)
Allows easier access to the motorcyclist in the event of an accident. By pulling the orange tab integrated into the pads, the cheek pads are removed. This makes it easier for medical personnel and rescuers to remove the helmet and minimizes the risk of further injury.
It works together with the dual-pivot® air intake on the chin guard to better direct fresh air onto the inner surface of the visor while simultaneously directing the hot air emitted with your breath down and away from the inner surface of the visor.
